Bixel Guild
Bixel Guild is an in-person social club for game developers and adjacent artists, in San Francisco, California. Our members make games and work in the disciplines that surround them — software, hardware, digital art, sound engineering, music, storytelling, and world-building. The Club keeps a clubhouse where members gather for recreation, fellowship, and the informal exchange of skills.
Bixel Guild is a California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation, formed on July 28, 2026.
Gatherings
Members meet at the clubhouse to work alongside one another, show what they are building, and talk. This is the heart of the Club and the reason most members join.
Skill-sharing
Members teach one another the techniques of their disciplines — programming, digital art, sound and music, hardware, narrative design — through demonstration and mutual critique. Sessions are led by members, for members, at no charge beyond dues.
Showcases and jams
The Club holds informal showcases and time-boxed making events at which members present work to one another. These are social occasions internal to the membership.
Between visits
A private online space, limited to admitted members, is where gatherings get arranged and conversations begun at the clubhouse carry on.
Membership is limited and is not open to the general public. Admission to every class follows the same course: sponsorship by a member in good standing, then review by the Club’s membership committee. The Club is supported by periodic dues paid by its members.
